CTN This weekend!

Here's what my final business card looks like. There was about...10 other designs before I decided on this one. lol.

And here is a quick little painting I did of my niece...she's ridiculous in the best ways. haha. Spiderman flip-flops, Tinkbell dress, helmet, and goggles....only a three year old who thinks she's the Hulk would come up with this stunning outfit lol.

Preview of Gary Soto's Treehouse

Right now, I'm working on our last big project in my Vis Dev class. It's based on the same short stories of Gary Soto, except this time we each had to some up with a treehouse design that charter in Gary's stories may have created when he was younger.

I decided that my overall theme I wanted to have was "Adventures in The Great Outdoors" which lead me to creating things like a pirate ship shaped tree house and a submarine shaped treehouse. I'm leaning towards my submarine idea, so I think I'll push my future ideations in that direction

Here's a few things I've doodled searching for my idea :)

Gary Soto's Kitchen

So, I sat in on this same class laster semester and I'm very glad that I did! The teachers were different and both offered different/great information when it came to attacking the project all the way to the end. I definitely learned a lot from this assignment, having to follow a story I created from a few of Gary Soto's short stories and then create something from imagination as well as gathering reference that matched what was in my head...does that make sense? lol.

I haven't decided if I will come back to these during winter break, fixing up my values a bit more and redoing my color scenes. I have learned a lot from this entire process, so I may just take my new knowledge and move forward with something new. We'll see. :)

My line drawings...I will eventually rescan my bottom line drawing because I have a cleaner version, I think I just messed it up in photoshop. lol.

This is my Medium shot, it looks kind of smokey. I loved working on this shot the most, getting to focus on the little details. :)

Wide shot #1 Fun fact: That cabinet to the left is based off my grandma's cabinet she has since passed down to one of my aunts. lol.

Wide shot #2

A Render for your thoughts?

A render I did for photoshop practice at the beginning of the semester.
It was tough getting the shapes just right and I learned the simplist way to get that wall texture! I learned a lot from this assignment along with patience is key. lol.

Next part of the assignment was to take the original render and weather it. It wasn't as successful, but it was fun and I learned a lot!

Some of my reference I used. :)

I'm back! -OTTAWA Trip/First time on a plane/ leaving the country! Lol

Hey guys! Man, it has been way too long! I've been wanting to do updates, but I haven't thought the stuff that I've done have been good enough to show. BUT THEN I REMEMBERED, this is my personal blog! lol. I can post whatever I want to talk about or get feed back on from my fellow viewers. :)  So, I'm thinking I'm going to divide up these posts between events/projects....even though they'll be put up at the same time.

This first post will mainly be pictures because this past September I was picked along with 15 other animation students to attend The Ottawa International Animation Festival in Canada. This was especially special to me because I had NEVER flown on a plane or left the country, so it was exciting x100! lol.
Those clouds man...

I think of My Neighbor Totoro every time I see this picture. Lol. My umbrella broke the second time I opened it! :/ ...But I fixed it with an Adventure Time button! lol.

Just one of the many awesome people I had the privilege of meeting and talking to, Gary Doodles (That's not his real last name! lol) He's the creator of Nick's new show Breadwinners...he's seriously the nicest and coolest guy I met probably the whole trip.

This was a cool little walk.

This is where some of the viewing took place.

Corwin working on the 3rd place pumpkin! It's the first time SJSU has ever placed in the pumpkin carving contest! Did I mention how great this trip was? haha.

The whole gang at the airport, what a beautiful group of people. :D

Before going on my first boat ride, gotta chase some geese. lol.

Poutine! So yummy!

I hate spiders, but this thing is cool.
